The Characters

Strut

Strut is his own worst enemy. He wants to win so badly he’ll break the rules and take short cuts to make it happen. If there’s a way to get what he wants without working for it, you can be sure he’ll try it. But his tricks and short cuts always backfire and this makes his end goal even harder to achieve. It’s not that this dashound is evil, he simply doesn’t get it. To him, hard work and cooperation are alien concepts. But his ill-conceived hi-jinks – on and off the track - never go right so Strut always gets his just desserts in the end. While technically too selfish to be a true friend, Strut’s pals are Stinkbert and Clutch.

Mags

Mags is clear-headed and cool under pressure – both on and off the track. Never bossy or overbearing, she’s one tough customer who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Mags is kind and caring and sometimes slips into the role of older wiser sister. But don’t think this Turbo Dog is girly! Most of the time, she’s just one of the guys. While she enjoys hanging out and having fun, what she truly loves is the hum of a well-tuned engine. Fueled by drive and ambition, she gives the other dogs stiff competition in every race. Her special friends are Dash and GT, but Mags gets along well with all the Turbo Dogs.

Clutch

Clutch is a Turbo Dog who’s just a bit of a klutz. If there’s a rope to trip over, chances are he’ll find it. Clutch is more of a follower than a leader. While all the dogs like him, he’s closer to Stinkbert and Strut then he is to the others. As a result, he often gets mixed up in Strut’s dastardly plans. Luckily, Clutch is a smart, solid racer (or at least he thinks he is!). Clutch’s attempts to help his friends often backfire. When things go too far, he’ll try to talk some sense into Strut – usually with very little success.

Stinkbert

Stinkbert is a simple, sweet natured, mutt who loves nothing more than rolling around in garbage. If he’s not practicing racing, or hanging around with his pals at the Clubhouse, you’ll find him at the dump. Stinkbert is well liked by all the Turbo Dogs. But the other dogs do try to stand up-wind of him. His special friends are Strut and Clutch. Stinkbert is often reluctant to help Strut carry out his more dastardly plans. He tends to point out the obvious flaw in the plan to Strut, who never listens – until it’s too late.

Dash

This race-ready rover has a solid gold attitude and always takes the high road. Count on Dash to play fair and lend a helping hand. In fact, when push comes to shove he’s been known to push a friend over the finish line instead of himself. For this Turbo Dog, it’s not the winning that matters; it’s how you run the race. But that doesn’t mean he’s not the toughest competitor on the road. He brings boundless energy and enthusiasm to the track and is no stranger to the winner’s circle. His special friends are GT and Mags but he gets along with everyone.

GT

GT is a natural born mechanic. No one knows how he does it, but he can re-build an entire engine using just a leash, a collar and some empty dog food cans. If there’s a ping in your engine, GT will find it and fix it. And he expects nothing in return. Good natured, loyal and generous, this bulldog will extend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. He’s a great friend with a big, sensitive (sometimes overly so) heart. But that doesn’t mean he’s a pushover on the track. He’s a terrific Turbo Dog with race-ready techniques and is a regular in the Winners Circle. He and Dash are best buddies, but GT is everyone’s friend.
