Designed as Common Core-ready learning units for middle school, each 25-minute Math@Work webisode is paired with lessons that will facilitate mathematical discussions and problem solving.

"The best way to show how fashion and math are related is to witness the process first-hand," said Tim Gunn. "I'm thrilled to help launch the Scholastic Math@Work web series and show students how we make math work in the fashion industry."

From the creators of MATH 180, Scholastic’s revolutionary intervention program designed to get middle school students Common Core-ready by rebuilding the foundations of mathematics, Math@Work aims to show students in grades 5 and up why math is important beyond the classroom and essential for 21st century careers.

"All kids have career ambitions. Our goal is to share how the math skills they learn in school today are connected to the lives they envision for themselves and are necessary for success in their future careers," said Margery Mayer, President of Scholastic Education.
