We Stand in Solidarity with the AAPI Community

The rising acts of hate and violence against the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities are unacceptable and wrong. Scholastic unequivocally believes in the worth and dignity of each individual, and we denounce all acts of bigotry and racism. We stand in solidarity with our AAPI employees, authors, illustrators, partners, and communities, who must be respected for who they are and their contributions recognized.

Our identity and mission are built on a vision of inclusivity. Through education and the power of story, we actively support building a society free of prejudice and hate. Scholastic books, classroom magazines, educational programs, and websites will continue to amplify diverse stories and creators so that children everywhere can learn, build empathy, gain information, and share experiences.

Every day we live by our credo, which states that no individual should face discrimination based on race, creed, color, gender, sexual orientation or identity, age or national origin.
