Company Inks Deals with Kids Station Toys Inc. and Tara Toy Corporation
for Infant, Toddler and Youth Products

New York – February 16, 2010 – As the toy industry convenes today in New York City for Toy Fair 2010, Scholastic Media (NASDAQ: SCHL), a division of Scholastic Inc., the global children’s publishing, education and media company, today announced new licensing deals for its Scholastic and Little Scholastic brands. The agreements with Kids Station Toys Inc. and Tara Toy Corporation will extend the reach of these trusted family brands with a range of new toy products for toddlers and school-aged children.

“The new line of Scholastic and Little Scholastic branded products builds on the nearly 90 years of Scholastic brand equity as a trusted name in children’s learning and entertainment” said Leslye Schaefer, Senior Vice President of Consumer Products and Marketing for Scholastic Media. “Instantly recognized and highly trusted by parents, educators and kids, the new Scholastic and Little Scholastic branded products reinforce the vital connection between fun and learning through play.”

Kids Station Toys Inc. will create toy lines for both the Scholastic and Little Scholastic brands in three categories – electronic learning aids, role-play toys and science and exploration products. Introducing a wide array of products to retail for children aged zero to eight, the company will create an innovative product line including cameras, electronic dictionaries, science kits and binoculars.

Adding to its Scholastic brand line-up, Tara Toy Corporation will create a full line of craft and activity kits including paper bag puppets, tissue paper art and milk carton projects that tap into a child’s imagination and creative skills. The kits are set to be value-priced between $5.99 and $9.99 at retail.

The new Scholastic and Little Scholastic brand toy lines are expected to hit shelves this year.
