Scholastic to Add New Title to "The Hunger Games" Movie Tie-in Program

New York, NY — November 3, 2011 — Scholastic, the global children’s publishing, education and media company, today announced the publication of a fourth title in the movie tie-in program for The Hunger Games  coming in Spring 2012. The newest title announced is The Hunger Games Tribute Guide, the ultimate Tribute guide to the 24 Tributes featured in the upcoming film.

Three of the movie tie-in titles will be released February 7, 2012, in advance of the much-anticipated March 2012 feature film release: The Hunger Games: Movie Tie-In Edition ($12.99, February 7, 2012, ISBN: 978-0-545-42511-7),The Hunger Games: Official Illustrated Movie Companion ($18.99, February 7, 2012, ISBN: 978-0-545-42290-1) and the just-announced The Hunger Games Tribute Guide, ($7.99, February 7, 2012, ISBN: 978-0-545-45782-8). The previously announced The World of The Hunger Games ($17.99, March 23, 2012; ISBN: 978-0-545-42512-4) will be released simultaneously with The Hunger Games film on March 23, 2012. Scholastic will publish and deliver all four movie tie-in titles through all of its distribution channels both domestically and internationally.

The Hunger Games Tribute Guide is a comprehensive guide to the 24 Tributes participating in Panem's 74th annual Hunger Games. Readers follow the Tributes’ journey from the Reaping to the Games, with a look at all the highlights along the way—the Tribute Parade, the stations of the Training Center, the interviews, and more. The book will include exclusive information about the Tributes’ strengths and weaknesses, their weapons of choice, and their experience in the Capitol before entering the arena.

A special gift edition of The Hunger Games was just released in time for holiday 2011: The Hunger Games Collector’s Edition ($30, November 2011, ISBN: 978-0-545-40577-5) features an elegant foil slipcase with all-new Mockingjay artwork, the bestselling original novel with a cloth cover, foil stamping, and deckled edges.
