Scholastic to Re-Launch the Wildly Popular Animorphs Books by Bestselling Author K.A. Applegate in May 2011

New York, NY — December 9, 2010 — Scholastic, the global children's publishing, education and media company, announced today that it will re-launch K.A. Applegate’s bestselling “Animorphs” series in May 2011. Each book will be published with a lenticular cover that actually morphs.

In her new role, Benton will oversee direction of the publishing program for all imprints of the division. She will assume her new responsibilities January 3, 2011, and report to Ellie Berger, President of Scholastic Trade Publishing.

Powell's Books in Portland, OR Wins Scholastic Bookstore Contest Prize of Store Visit by Suzanne Collins

New York, NY (October 21, 2010) — Scholastic, the global children’s publishing, education, and media company, announced today that Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon, has won a store visit from Suzanne Collins, the bestselling author of The Hunger Games trilogy. Powell’s was selected as the winner of a Scholastic in-store display contest in conjunction with the publication of Mockingjay, the final book of The Hunger Games trilogy.
