'Clifford's Really Big Movie" Premiers on PBS Kids
Features the late John Ritter as the voice of Clifford as well as Wayne Brady, Jenna Elfman, Judge Reinhold and John Goodman
November 19, 2012 - Scholastic Media, a division of Scholastic Inc., the global children’s publishing, education and media company, announced today that animated film ‘Clifford’s Really Big Movie’ will debut on PBS KIDS (check local listings) on Friday, December 14 as part of its year long celebration of the beloved character’s 50th anniversary.
The animated movie takes children and their families on Clifford’s biggest adventure yet, a rollicking cross-country road trip starring everyone’s favorite Big Red Dog and his best friends Cleo, T-Bone and an entirely new cast of characters. The animated film was originally released in 2004 by Warner Brothers and features the late John Ritter as the voice of Clifford as well as Wayne Brady, Jenna Elfman and John Goodman. A Scholastic Entertainment production, the cast also includes Grey Delisle (What’s New Scooby-Doo), Jess Harnell (Lilo and Stitch), Kel Mitchell (Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle), Judge Reinhold (Beverly Hills Cop III), Kath Soucie (Rugrats Go Wild), Cree Summer (A Different World), and Wilmer Valderrama (That 70’s Show).
For 50 years, Clifford the Big Red Dog has been entertaining children, parents and teachers with his BIG adventures. In his beloved dog, Norman Bridwell created a literary classic embraced by generations around the world. Since the first Clifford® book was published in 1963, the property has grown to include 126 million books in print and an Emmy® Award-winning television series – currently in its twelfth consecutive season on PBS KIDS.
