Scholastic to Publish New Edition of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in 2017

Scholastic is pleased to announce the publication of a new edition of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in 2017. Publishing on March 14, 2017, the book will contain a new foreword from J.K. Rowling, a new cover design and original illustrations and doodles by J.K. Rowling throughout. Originally released in paperback by Scholastic in 2001, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by fictitious author Newt Scamander (a character from J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World), was published to benefit Comic Relief, a U.K.-based charity organization.

The first of two stand-alone titles, The Goldfish Boy, which will publish in the UK, US, and Canada in early 2017, is an extraordinary middle-grade contemporary novel with a wonderful cast of characters and a story that will stay with readers long after the final page.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products Announces Global Publishing Partners for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them"

(March 22, 2016 – Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) announced today a slate of new publishing partners signed on to support Warner Bros. Pictures’ highly anticipated return to J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The big-screen adventure was written by J.K. Rowling and stars Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything). Licensing partners set to publish book programs inspired by the film and its sequels, include Scholastic, HarperCollins, and Insight Editions.
